
Panagiotis Kalaitzis is a graduate of the Department of Geology of the School of Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a postgraduate of Geography and Applied Geo-informatics in Natural Environment and Hazards Management of the Department of Geography of the University of the Aegean. His scientific interests include: Geology, Physical Geography, Cartography, Remote Sensing, GIS and Spatial Analysis specializing in natural hazards and at present he is a Ph.D candidate of Geography and Applied Geo-informatics in Natural Environment and Hazards Management of the Department of Geography of the University of the Aegean. Finally, he actively contributes to academia through teaching, supervision roles, and publications in reputable journals as well as engaging in diverse research programs.
